Greg Bartels is the founder of Halo Tax + Accounting and the Director of Halo Advisory. He brings over 25 years of experience of running his own businesses as well as working in senior roles inside large organisations — which gives him a practical, grounded view of what actually helps businesses move forward.
Over the years, Greg has owned and operated businesses across finance, retail and personal services, including finance companies, retail stores, hairdressing salons and even a laundromat. Alongside this, he’s held executive and product management roles in Australia and overseas, where he saw first-hand the value of strong systems, clear thinking and good people around you.
That mix of experience shapes how Greg works with clients today. He’s focused on helping business owners make better decisions, reduce unnecessary stress, and feel confident about where they’re heading. He believes good advice should be accessible, practical and responsive — and that accountants and advisers should be easy to talk to, not hard to track down.
Greg is also deeply invested in building a positive, agile work culture at Halo Group. He believes that when people are working in their zone of genius, clients get better outcomes and everyone enjoys the work more.

Prior to his advisory work, Tony was a Partner at Deloitte Australia, where he led the development of new consulting practices and business models. His earlier career in banking included senior leadership roles across corporate banking, industry segmentation, and product and distribution management.
Tony holds a Master of Marketing and a Master of Management, underpinning his commercially focused and results-driven approach.
Damian Perera

Damian is a an accountant with over 27 years experience. He is a registered Tax Agent, and a proud member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance and has worked extensively with high net worth individuals and small to medium enterprises, including private family businesses across a variety of industries.
Before joining Halo Tax + Accounting, Damian gained valuable corporate finance experience within the teams of ASX-listed companies, giving him a unique perspective on both business operations and strategic financial management.
